Miguel Bombarda Arts Quarter showcases contemporary Art exhibitions all year round.

The third opening cycle starts Saturday, April 29. All events start at 4:00 pm and the admission is free.

Galleries open their doors simultaneously and showcase new exhibitions to the public.

It is ten years now that this fashionable district of upmarket galleries offers audiences at large an array of events and art exhibitions.

Porto City Hall promotes the event, which is organised by Municipal Company PortoLazer together with the Bombarda Art District.

In all, a total of 18 galleries participate in this third cycle, spread throughout the streets of Miguel Bombarda District, with individual and collective exhibitions, street animation and guided tours prepared by PortoLazer.

The main highlight is the Bombarda Stop & Go initiative, which offers two guided tours to the various galleries of the Arts quarter. Participation is free of charge and the tours last approximately one hour. These tours accept a group as large as 30 people and are mostly targeted at Visual Arts and Artistic Technologies students.

Those interested can register until 1:00 o'clock, April 28, via email stopandgo@portolazer.pt, by choosing from either of the two available schedules: 4 pm or 5:30 pm (should you choose to participate in the latter, registration is also possible on April 29, after 4 pm, at Porto. stand, which will be located on the pedestrian area of Miguel Bombarda Street, next to Boa Nova Street).

In the same pedestrian area, there is an opportunity to get a closer look at The Blue Plate project and the Cooperativa de Actividades Artistic Activities that deliver a printing technique workshop, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, open to participants of all ages.

Also at Miguel Bombarda Street, from 4 to 5 pm, and from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, public presentation of "Push and Pull", the third performance of "The Fractal Body" Project, an integration between physical theatre and minimal dance, directed by Paulina Almeida.

This performance will be presented throughout the year, in all cycles of Bombarda Inaugurations.
