Best Book Design from all over the World includes book from Porto City Hall

The "Quatro Elementos" exhibition catalogue, on show at Porto Municipal Gallery was selected to take part in the international annual competition "Best Book Design from all over the World".

This edition by Porto City Hall was designed by Pedro Nora. The Quatro Elementos exhibition was organised by Porto City Hall and it was curated by Ana Luísa Amaral (Water), Eduarda Neves (Earth), Pedro Faro (Fire) and Nuno Faria (Air).

The book was released last March, and it is composed by six independent booklets, the first being the general overview of the exhibit, the last the photographic recording of the exhibition and the reaming four books related to each Elements.

The "Best Book Design from all over the World" is held by German Foundation Stiftung Buchkunst since 1963.

Each year, about 700 books are included in the competition and are showcased in the Leipzig Book Fair in Spring, when the winners of the competition are announced. Afterwards, the collections will be part of the Frankfurt Book Fair, in Autumn.
