The first days of February will be Blues days in Porto. Swing Station Dance School features the 5th edition of the Atlantic Blues Festival, at Casa da Música from 1 to 4 February.

This event will bring to town dancers and musicians from several countries.

The festival features dance workshops with four levels of specialisation taught by teachers of different nationalities, namely Alba Mengual (Spain) and Gastón Fernandez (Argentina/Spain), Vicci Moore (England) and Adamo Ciarallo (Italy/England), Eva Azevedo (Portugal) and Piny Orchidaceae (Portugal).

The main goal of the festival is to promote social interaction by means of dancing the Blues, regardless of the experience level. As such, the organisation has prepared a programme that includes a tour through town, an open class, dance competitions and a festival dinner as well.

Besides dance, the festival also features music of various backgrounds, with Stefano Ronchi & Marcos Coll (Italy) and Hearts & Bones (Portugal). There will also be stage concerts with DJ sets Adamo Ciarallo, Gastón Fernandez and Vicci Moore (England), Hugo Domingos and Paulo Azevedo (Portugal), and Abeth Farag (USA/Portugal).
