"All that Jazz" in Parque de Serralves in the first three Sundays of July

The 26th Edition of Jazz at the Park will start July 2, continue July 9 and conclude July 16.

This annual event takes place at Parque de Serralves and will feature three concerts, world premieres that will run from 6 pm to 7 pm.

"To bring together musicians of different nationalities in projects deliberately designed to presenting them at Tenis de Serralves", this is the motto of this event that is curated by Rui Eduardo Paes.

July 2, the stage belongs to Spinifex Plus, a derivation created from Spinifex Maximus formula, in which "multinational musicians rounded up with Spinifex Quintet to form a big band that celebrated the 10th anniversary of this project in 2015", explained Serralves Foundation.

The Spinifex Quintet will be joined on stage by five Portuguese musicians and American saxophonist John Dikeman.

July 9, Jazz in the Park will feature saxophonist Rodrigo Amado, a full jam setting inspired by free jazz and hard bop derivations, that will be edited on record.  

To conclude, July 16 brings Jazz sung by bassist Joelle Léandre together with a Portuguese band.
