From January to November of this year, overnight stays are anticipated at around 6.8 million in Porto and Northern Portugal during 2016.
According to Tourism of Porto and North of Portugal (TPNP), the number of overnight stays have registered an increase of 10.70 percent in relation to 2015, a significant growth in the number anticipated for the year 2020, which is set at 7 million guests.
Porto and North region of Portugal recorded a total of 5.380 million overnight stays in September 2016, representing an increase of 12.5 percent compared with the same period of the previous year.
In September 2016, Porto and the North region continued to register a steady growth, above the national average, with an 18.4% increase in total revenues and a 20% increase in room revenues.
