2nd PubhD Porto Gala party celebrates Science at UP

The Rectory of the University of Porto hosts the 2nd PubhD Porto Gala party and highlights the international PhD student's community in Higher Education institutions of the University of Porto.

PubhD Porto celebrates its 2nd anniversary and the Rectory of the University of Porto will host a party to celebrate Science, namely research from the areas of Civil Engineering, Communication and Digital Media and Medicine and Molecular Oncology. Three students will share their research with the aim of disseminating their know-how.

Rendez-vous is set for 31 January, starting at 6 pm, in the Salão Nobre, and the activities' programme includes a musical interlude, as well.

The event will also be attended by Pedro Rodrigues, Vice-Rector for Investigation, innovation and internationalisation, Maria de Lurdes Fernandes, Vice-Rector for Training, Academic Organisation and international relations and Fátima Vieira, Vice- Rector for Culture, Uporto Editions and Museums.

PubhD (pub and PhD) is an international movement for disseminating science in a creative manner and on an informal basis, which started in Nottingham, back in 2014. 

Three researcher from the U.Porto decided it was time Porto hosted such an event. Filipa M. Ribeiro, Nuno Francisco and Ricardo Ferraz, organised the 1st PubhD Porto in January 2017.

This event is held once a month, PubhD Porto, always on the last Thursday of every month.
