Rainy days don’t have to be stereotypically gloomy and grim! There are actually fun things to do on a rainy day, namely getting your learning on where does rainwater comes from. Enjoy the next video by the Environmental Team of Porto City Hall on how does rain form and what is the Water Cycle.

Everyone can say that rain is droplets of water that fall from clouds, but can you explain where rain comes from and where it goes? Porto City Hall Environment Department will let you in on how rain is formed in steps.

For starters, did you know that the amount of water that covers our planet is exactly the same as when the planet was formed 4.6 billion years? Or that cabbage soup carries water molecules that were once part of a dinosaur’ body?

This session will not only help you to better understand vaporisation, condensation or solidification, but it will also offer tips on to-do at home cool water experiments.
