Warm-up conference for European Design Awards on 27 April in Porto

The 10th edition of European Design Awards ceremony will take place in Porto on 27 May.

This year's edition is themed "Celebrating Creative Excellence", and it will be preceded by a pre-conference at ESAD-Matosinhos and Faculty of Fine Arts of University of Porto, on 27 April, under the title "How to Promote your Work in the Design Arena".

This warm-up event, in the framework of the European Festival programming, features designers Roland Stieger (TGG Agency, Switzerland) and Jeroen van Erp (Fabrique Agency, The Netherlands) as key speakers.

Every year, since 2007, the European Design Awards celebrate excellence in the fields of print, web and exhibition design, illustration, packaging, mobile apps and motion graphics.

This is the first time that European Design Awards Festival and Awards Ceremony takes place in Portugal and Porto is the host city.

Porto won the most important of these prizes in 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey with the brand Porto. (the brand was awarded the highest distinction level - double Gold) among 1000 applications from more than 35 countries such as Iceland, Greece and Russia.
