U.Porto and Santander offer grants to the European Innovation Academy 2021. Applications are ongoing

The University of Porto offers 20 scholarships for students who wish to participate in the world’s leading entrepreneurship summer school. This year’s edition takes to the online format, from 15 July to 3 August. Applications are running until 7 June.

The University of Porto and the Banco Santander will offer 20 grants to students that wish to participate in the European Innovation Academy 2021 (EIA 2021), the largest entrepreneurship summer school in the world. This year’s edition takes to the online format, from 15 July to 3 August, owing to the ongoing pandemic and the need to follow all the health measures in place, issued by the DGS.

The EIA educational programmes are developed through joint partnerships with professionals from the world's top institutions, namely Stanford University, U.C. Berkeley, and Google. Students from the best American, Asian and European universities are immersed in a multicultural ecosystem of over 15,000 alumni and faculties hailing from more than eighty-five countries, to accelerate business ideas and projects, following a hands-on approach.

This year’s edition offers am immersive experience in an international and multidisciplinary community, using the latest technology. For two weeks, students will be able to advance their knowledge and share experiences, namely through daily quizzes.

In 2019, 24 students of the U.Porto participated in an event held in Cascais, in which three of the awarded projects were implemented with the contribution of the University of Porto.

Students must apply until 7 June in the platform provided by the Banco Santander. Students must have between 18 and 28 years old, must have an advanced level of the English language, and must be enrolled in the U.Porto.

Those students who are accepted to enter the EIA 2021 will be exempted from paying registration fees of 1599 euros. Participation in the EIA 2021 also grants each student 6 ECTS.
