Torre dos Clérigos will remember the 250 years since the death of Nicolau Nasoni this Wednesday, the 30th of August, with several activities, like a tour, a release or music.

The initiative is open to the public and will begin with the tour “O Porto de Nasoni” (Nasoni’s Porto), which will “go through the symbolic places that marked the relationship of Nasoni with the city, namely the Paço Episcopal, the Misericórdia Church and the Nicolau Nasoni Street.

The Igreja dos Clérigos will house the release of the guide “O Porto de Nasoni”, by Joel Cleto and Sérgio Jacques. Ten years after the first edition, the guide is updated and carries new photographs. After the release, and inside the Igreja dos Clérigos, a Brass Concert by the Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa will take place.

With these initiatives, the Torre dos Clérigos hopes to remember and value the memory of the Italian architect in the city, whose baroque aesthetic originated so many monuments, such as the tower and complex of Clérigos, the front of the Misericórdia church, the Casa de Ramalde, the Quinta da Prelada, the Palácio do Freixo or details in the Igreja do Carmo.
