Time to play chess at the Public Library, starting December

Chess classes are available in Porto Public Library and applications are now open.

The study programme, jointly organised with the Escola do Silêncio [The school of Silence] begins 2 December and it will run on a weekly basis till July next year.

Every Saturday, between 11 am and 1 pm, lessons are available to those who wish to learn how to play chess or become more acquainted with this board game.

These workshops are aimed at children from the age of six and adults as well, and each participant will be taught according to their skills and knowledge.

The teacher is chess player Daniel Gonçalves Quintã, dedicated practitioner since 1996.

Pre-registration is required and the participation in the workshops costs 20 euros, which corresponds to four classes.
