The University of Porto rises through the world rankings

The University of Porto (U.Porto) holds the 227th position in the overall Centre for World University Rankings (CWUR) 2018, which covers over one thousand universities and higher education institutions.

This is the best ranking position of the UP, due to the output of scientific research and the quality of education, as well as the teaching and researchers' staff.

All of these factors brought Porto University up almost 100 positions versus 2017, even overcoming the 290th position held in 2014.

This ranking is published since 2012 and it is headed by the Stanford University and Harvard University, and by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
