The map of urban art in the city of Porto is getting bigger, with new interventions being inaugurated in public spaces this Saturday.

Between the historic centre and the Bolhão block, one can see either a cat, a mural painting that follows up the urban landscape or another set of artistic work in electrical energy transmission and distribution grids that honour the anonymous citizen and the entire city as well.

The lurking cat can be found in "the smallest street in Porto", the Afonso Martins Alho Street (next to Rua das Flores); a huge cat designed by Galician artist LIQUEN. The project is themed "Perspéntico", it represents Porto as a city in motion, a type of "cat-city".

This work inspired the origami workshops at the Hard Club, in the Ferreira Borges Market, last Saturday.

The projects are on display outside the iconic building, where the second mural painting was inaugurated by Porto artist MOTS, entitled "Continuidade".  The aim is to highlight this fine example of iron architecture in the city of Porto.

Forty-three electrical grids, located in the commercial quarter of Bolhão were also the object of artistic intervention.
