The largest international event on water gathers more than 60 countries in Porto

Porto Water Innovation Week starts today. This event runs till 30 September and makes Porto the European Capital of Water and Innovation committed to find a global solution for the challenges facing the planet.
The global community, from researchers to entrepreneurs and business world, comprising 1200 participants from more than 60 countries are debating the urgent measures that need to be undertaken in the water sector.
Porto Water Innovation Week features a diversified programme, built on four main initiatives: the "EIP Water Conference" and the "Mayors&Water Conference", both with the stamp of approval of the European Union, the "Water Innovation Lab Europe" and "Water & People".
This conference is jointly organised by Porto City Hall, through Águas do Porto Municipal company, Águas de Portugal, the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering and Portuguese Water Partnership (PPA in Portuguese).
Sunday, 24 September is the kick off and the "Water Innovation Lab" is the starting point of a full week devoted to water, which closes 30 September with the Aquaporto Fstival, open to the public.
