STCP bus fleet in Porto will adjust the offer of services on weekends and holidays, starting at 1pm, following the slump in demand of circa 70%. This weekend, the STCP bus fleet implements timetable changes, by reducing 10% the offer of bus services, starting after 1pm on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

This adjustment will also be implemented during the school breaks and on the days before the holidays. This also means that there will be a reduction in the offer of services of the trams and the Electric Tram Museum.

On weekend afternoons, between 28th and 29th November, and between 5th and 6th December, as well on the afternoons of the holidays – 1st and 8th December – some lines are suspended, namely 207, 208, 209, 304, 403, 503, 707, 900 and ZC.

“This adjustment was defined by STCP, jointly with AMP [Porto Metropolitan Area], taking into account not only the measures in place in the region, owing to the State of Emergency, but also the slump in demand experienced the previous weekend, after 1pm, when there is a ban on movement in public areas and roads”, the company stated in a press release.

STCP also highlights that “alternative mobility solutions are in place, via other STCP lines, ensuring that the public transport offer in Porto, Gaia, Gondomar, Maia, Matosinhos and Valongo are guaranteed”.

Trams and Electric Car Museum

Like in previous weekends, the iconic trams stop circulating as of 1pm these next two Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and the days before the holidays (from 28th November to 1st December, and from 5th to the 8th December).

The Electric Tram Museum closes at 1pm, on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The days before the holidays, on 30th November and 7th December, the museum is closed.
