Ryanair is ramping up its expansion as the largest no-frills carrier in Europe. The airliner is laying on new routes to Frankfurt Main, flying out daily from Porto to Frankfurt.

Porto will have a daily connection to German financial Hub, as Frankfurt is key both for business and leisure passengers.

Last week, CEO Michael O'Leary had announced the Winter Schedule 2017-18, at a Press Conference held in Porto, which included new routes from Porto to Naples, with two flights a week. Meanwhile, ten existing summer routes will be extended to winter services.

The airline is based in Swords, a suburb of Dublin. In 2016, the budget airline was not only the largest European airline by scheduled passengers carried, but also the busiest international airline by passenger numbers.

Alongside Ryanair, German flag-carrier Lufthansa also flies to Porto.
