Theatre company mala voadora features stories of the aftermath of Portuguese colonial Rule in Mozambique and the lives of the returnees or repatriated at Rivoli, starting at 7 pm.

The performance "Moçambique" by theatre company "mala voadora" is back on stage under the IETM Porto Plenary Meeting 2018, which starts today in Porto.

The political history blends with personal lives and stories. Guerrilla scenarios, self-determination, nationalistic outlooks and private property, personal belongings, professional careers and status, all these are part of this performance.

Director Jorge Andrade builds a narrative description based on what could have been, his sense of personal achievement.

The Mozambican War of Independence was an armed conflict between the guerrilla forces of the Mozambique Liberation Front or FRELIMO (Frente de Libertação de Moçambique), and Portugal. The war officially started on September 25, 1964, and ended with a ceasefire on September 8, 1974, resulting in a negotiated independence in 1975.
