Without replacing people-to-people contact, computers, mobiles and other technologies can be the solution to some of the problems affecting the elderly people and the people who care for them.

Researchers from one of the main investigation centres in Porto, the Cintesis - Health Services and Technologies Research centre are part of the European team involved in the task of developing ActiveAdvice.

Around 1.3 million euros have been provided for research, aimed at providing a European platform in which elders and relatives or caretakers will be able to find products and services specially designed to respond to their needs and get advice on the more effective and adequate solutions regarding their living situations.

Information regarding the ActiveAdvice Project is currently under development.
