Queer Porto - International Queer Film Festival, in its third Edition, is already a consolidated cultural event in Porto's cultural rentrée.

The festival features, as usual, a multidisciplinary programming, offering the best there is regarding different methods and interpretations of queer culture.

This edition presents two competitions at Rivoli, namely Best Feature Film competition (fiction or documentary), enabling the audience to know the most significant queer films from the year before. At the same time, Rivoli hosts the Portuguese Film Schools competition "In My Shorts".

Novelty this year, and in the framework of this cross-cutting approach, Queer Porto Programme organises a cycle of films dedicated to autobiographic representation in queer cinema. These events will take place at Teatro Municipal do Porto, with, for example, "This is Me", a film by Jonathan Caouette, based on the seminal work "Tarnation" (2003).

The core of the Festival will be at Rivoli but other activities will also happen at malavoadora.porto, Maus Hábitos and Wrong Weather Gallery, which will hold Queer Pop, master classes, exhibitions and performances, the meeting point for artists and local audiences.
