Porto started with victories in the Atlantic Zone Games

About 103 male and female young athletes from Porto municipality are participating in the XII Atlantic Zone Games that take place in Galicia, Spain until Sunday, July 10. 

Yesterday, on the first day of the competition, the athletes from Porto began their campaign by garnering important victories in football, basketball, handball and volleyball.

The Atlantic Zone Games include a variety of sports and Porto also participates in athletics and swimming and adapted swimming competitions.

For the first time, the Atlantic Zone Games are held in the interior of Galicia, in the cities of Lugo, Sarria and Monforte de Lemos. 

The event will run until Sunday and comprises a total of 1.850 athletes, up to 16 years old, from 29 municipalities of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, Spain and the northern region of Portugal.
