To dwell on the place of the body and intimacy at a digital era, as factors that seem to taint the human experience is the tagline of the Vivarium Festival, which will be held this weekend at the Maus Hábitos space.

Workshops, performances, concerts, books and dance are the elements of the activities programme set to bring about "unusual and unprecedented encounters between the humanist culture and the cybernetic culture, questioning our ways of doing and enjoying arts in a digital world", the organisation stated.

According to the curator, Marianne Baillot, "this is a time when the cultural momentum of the city is in line with the commitment to a smart city model".

This is the perfect setting to this new media festival that features the Italian performer Marco Donnarumma, the dancer and choreographer Jonathan Schatz and musician Nicolat Canot.

The Vivarium Festival is coproduced by Porto City Hall, together with the Saco Azul and Maus Hábitos, jointly with the Ministry of Culture and Else Association.
