Porto hosts International community of investors

Porto plays host to the Smart Capital event, promoted by the International Venture Club (IVC) jointly with Porto City Hall. The aim of this initiative is to gather business innovators, managers of investment funds and independent investors for doing business.

This is an informal gathering, which will boost new business opportunities and new positioning regarding new investments, in the startup context.

In a time when the startup concept is still somewhat blurred, The Stadium of Dragão (Home to FC Porto) will be the stage of this event.

The Smart Capital 2018 edition will take place on 20 and 21 September, and there are already some novelties in store. A conference on the future of investment, and networking moments, also an open Masterclass, where IVC members will address case studies and challenges faced regarding startups exit strategies.

This will also be the perfect occasion to launch the ScaleUp Porto Toolkit, developed by Porto City Hall, through ScaleUp Porto, jointly with Porto Business School. These guidelines will provide insights on the city's ecosystem and business opportunities.
