Porto City Hall offers trees to residents towards a sustainable future

The 3rd edition of the "If you have a garden, we have a tree for you" programme, sponsored by Porto City Hall will run till 21 March. The main purpose of this initiative is to support citizens, companies and institutions in the city regarding the planting of trees and bushes in their gardens and patios.

This programme is in line with the municipal strategy related to the Environment and Climate Change Adaptation, in the framework of the FUTURO project, whose fundamental goal is the planting of 100 thousand trees in the Porto Metropolitan Area until 2020.

This edition includes the free distribution of 3.150 plants of 14 different species, including holly, myrtles, arbutus and laurel.

Novelty this year, the plants will be offered in a pot so as to ensure the plant's best quality conditions till the planting moment.

Applications are now open till 21 March.
