"Porto, talent incubator" is the theme of a news published by the weekly newspaper Expresso, last weekend.

The two-page article provides facts to inform that investment undertakings in Porto and in the North region of Portugal created an estimated 8000 jobs over 3 years.

One can read "the Invicta [Porto is also called "Cidade Invicta", which translates in English as Unvanquished City], and the surrounding region are in a position to receive around the world multinational companies, especially in the technological field, as an excellent location for the establishment of technology centres and shared services Centres".

The Expresso newspaper relates this new momentum with the municipal agency InvestPorto, created by the Municipal authority to support investment and economic development.

A concerted strategy that contributes to creating an environment that favours entrepreneurship with high quality human resources, according to the weekly newspaper.
