Porto and Douro Region are absolute winners of Best of Wine Tourism 2020

It is an encore for Porto and the Northern Region of Portugal regarding Best of Wine Tourism 2020 for Quinta da Pacheca as it conquers the Public voting following the Jury choice in Bordeaux.

The international jury has elected the Quinta da Pacheca enotourism endeavour and so has the Public voting, making it the absolute winner among the Best Of Wine Tourism 2020 laureates.

O Wine House Hotel - Quinta da Pacheca had already been distinguished in Bordeaux, France, where the General Assembly of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network took place. The international jury, made of delegates of the member-cities selected the Quinta da Pacheca application, among the seven shortlisted applications announced last June at the Invicta.

The "Public Choice Award" results were announced on 25th November by the Great Wine Capitals, which stated that the Public voting relied with over 5.000 votes from all around the Globe.

The Great Wine Capitals Global Network is an organisation that aggregates 10 cities and the corresponding wine-growing areas, considered the best in the world.

Besides Porto, which is one of the founding members of this network, the Great Wine Capitals comprises Bilbao (Spain), Bordeaux (France), Lausanne (Switzerland), Mainz (Germany), Mendoza (Argentina), Adelaide (Australia), São Francisco (USA), Valparaíso (Chile) and Verona (Italy).

These cities share the common characteristic of an internationally acknowledged economic and cultural heritage - their wine regions.
