Play "Stabat Mater" at Teatro Campo Alegre

"Stabat Mater Furiosa - Oratória Para Uma Voz" combines theatrical creation and movement practices. Features Friday 10th at 9:30 pm at Teatro do Campo Alegre.

It is a play that invites the audience to think on the meaning of the original mother figure, seen as the origin of human social organisation. The image of the woman congregates all potential for creation, foundation, genesis, construction, support and destruction, as well as the power to reinvent a place where ultimate and primary meaning of protection and detachment can be found.

Stabat Mater Dolorosa is almost a tribute to the figure of Mary at the time of the crucifixion of Christ, in contrast to Stabat Mater Speciosa related to glorification of creation in the image of the birth of her son.
