Paradise found: Porto is candidate to Best European City Break 2021. Vote now

Porto is candidate to the World's Leading City Break Destination, after being shortlisted to the World Travel Awards, in the Europe’s Leading City Break Destination 2021 category. Porto won the award in 2020. Online voting takes place until 14th July.

The city that exudes resilience and is never short of offering architectural heritage and lifelong positive travel experience is again shortlisted as a finalist for the title of Best European City Break 2021. The Invicta was granted the European Best City Break in 2020.

Porto is the city that exudes resilience and, no matter what the circumstance, is certain to become anyone’s paradise found as it offers visitors a new insight on architecture heritage, fine cuisine and authentic warm welcoming people.

The pandemic context has changed the way people travel; therefore, a city that offers international connectivity, great healthcare system and a mild Mediterranean climate is at the forefront in the race for the Best European City Break.

The World Travel Awards, which celebrate its 28th edition, are known as the supreme tourism Oscars. The WTA annual programme is renowned as the most prestigious in the global industry, and pretty much cover all the instances regarding the tourism sector, namely, hotels, resorts, destinations, airliners and tourism operators. Travelers, media and professionals in the tourism business are invited to the online voting that runs till 14th July.

Porto is part of a selection of nominees, in the category World's Leading City Break Destination 2021, that gathers cities such as Amsterdam, Athens, Belfast, Berlin, Copenhagen, Dublin, Geneva, Lisbon, London, Moscow, Paris, Rome, Saint Petersburg and Venice.

Porto and the North of Portugal are also nominated for the prestigious World Travel Awards, in the category "Europe's Leading Heritage Destination 2021.
