Open call for the second edition of Criatório - Municipal programme for supporting artistic creation

The entry period for grant applications of €50.000 of the Municipal programme for supporting artistic creation, titled Criatório, starts Friday, 15 December.
This is the second edition of Criatório, and the application deadline is from 15 December 2017 to 31 January 2018.
The municipal programme has a new panel of judges, presided by Guilherme Blanc, deputy for the Culture department in Porto city Hall, and it also includes Júlio Dolbeth, artist, illustrator and Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts from Porto University, Mauro Cerqueira, visual artist, Raquel Castro, researcher in the field of sound and music editor, and Sofia Campos, administrator of Teatro Nacional D. Maria II.
The regulation provides for the allocation of grants to 16 projects, each worth 15,000 euros in the following areas: visual arts and curatorship, performing arts and programming, composition, programming and musical performance, literature and critical essay.
Some of the work that emerged from the first edition of Criatório are the Metabolic Rifts, the new album by Black Bombaim or the "Recurso Programme" regarding the theoretical and practical qualification in the domain of theatre.
