After overcoming the restrictions of the pandemic, the visit program was resumed, which brings American university students to visit the building of the Town Hall.

As in previous years, a group from William Jewell College, a higher education institution in the state of Missouri, USA, made a field trip to the city of Porto, which included a visit to the Town Hall and an informal meeting with the Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira.

The group consisted of 15 university students from different fields, accompanied by two professors and an element of the Portuguese-American Foundation (FLAD). Allan Katz, former US ambassador to Portugal, was also present, as was the case with the last visit.

The American entourage visited several institutions during their visit to Portugal: in addition to the Porto City Hall, they were at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto and at UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of University of Porto. They also visited the US Embassy in Lisbon, FLAD, Lisbon City Hall, Gulbenkian Foundation, Champalimaud Foundation, Nova School of Law, among other places, before returning home.
