Nocturnal Dances completes Christian Rizzo's trilogy

The Municipal Theatre New season starts on 15 September featuring "Le Syndrome Ian", the last of Christian Rizzo's trilogy that revolves around different dance typologies.

In "D'Après Une Histoire Vrai", presented in Rivoli in September 2015, Rizzo addressed the cycle of community dances, and the group was the main leitmotiv; In "Ad Noctum", Rizzo approached couple dancing and the symbiosis between two dancers on stage.

Now, the Director of the Centre Chorégraphique National de Montpellier is back in Rivoli with "Le Syndrome Ian" to conclude this trilogy, with a focus on nocturnal dances.

There will be nine dancers on stage performing "Le Syndrome Ian".

Christian Rizzo was born in 1965, in Cannes, France. He debuts as an artist in Toulouse, and later moved to Nice to study Visual Arts. In 1996, he established "L'Association Fragile".

From 2007 to 2012, he was the artist in residence at Lille Opera.

Christian Rizzo is one of the top artists in the French performing arts.

Currently, Rizzo is the Director of the Centre Corégraphique National de Montpellier Languedoc-Rouillon.
