Municipal Theatre New Season Programme furthers the city project launched three years ago

The September to December Season of Porto Municipal Theatre was presented today at Rivoli and is the culmination of a process initiated in September 2014 that aimed at "operating a city project that pays attention to its artists and its audiences with a strong international component", stated Mayor Rui Moreira, this morning at the renewed Café Rivoli.

Mayor Rui Moreira (running for election on 1 October) and Director of Porto Municipal Theatre, Tiago Guedes, have disclosed the events that will happen in the coming months, totalling 57 shows that will be revealed to the public at large this evening at 7 pm at Rivoli.

Some of the novelties include premieres from national artists and foreign performers from all around the globe that will bring their music, dance, theatre, literature and cinema to Rivoli and to Campo Alegre.

A few highlights of this new season are MEXE - International Summit of Artwork and Community; FIMP - Porto International Puppet Festival; Porto/Post/Doc; Porta-Jazz; and the Forum of the Future.
