The Missão Férias@Porto is on between 12 July and 3 September, and it is targeted at youth from 6 to 15 years old, whether they reside or not in the city of Porto. Applications run exclusively online and open today, 21 June, starting at 10 am.

There are six poles that accommodate this programme, and each location welcomes groups of 12 children, maximum. This year there will be more educators and staff, namely a coordinator/sanitizer for each pole to strengthen outdoor activities, as well.

The Missão Férias@Porto 2021 is sure to be more inclusive thanks to a partnership with the ADADA – Association for adapted sports, which provides specialised supervision to children and Youth with special educational needs, such as the ColorADD code for the color blind, which will be set in all the holiday camp signposting.

These measures not only reassure the community that all activities are carried out accordingly with all the preventive health guidelines, but also that there are plenty of fun and educational activities to enjoy at the Missão Férias@Porto.

The holiday programme is divided by themed weeks and it features over 30 activities, focused on leisure and learning activities, such as athletics, handball, basketball, badminton, bowling, dance, fencing, target archery, surf, skate, volleyball, chess, and other activities as visits to museums, to the beach, to gardens and to the city parks, as well as nutrition and science workshops, magic sessions, among other.

Tutors and parents should enrol their children via the email inscricaomissaoferias@agoraporto.pt, stating their preferred pole, according to their location. The application form must include copies of the participant’s identification and his/her respective parents, tutor identification, as well. A confirmation of application is sent upon payment.

Youth with special needs education should enrol directly via ADADA Porto, by the phone number 225 303 043. The goal is to assess each child’s needs.

All six poles, which will run as the delivery and retrieving points of the participants are the Complexo Desportivo do Monte Aventino, the Pavilhão Irene Lisboa, the Pavilhão Infante de Sagres, the Pavilhão do Viso, the Pavilhão Pêro Vaz de Caminha and the Parque Desportivo de Ramalde/INATEL.

The activities programme will be identical in each pole, but any doubt or need of clarification must be sent to missaoferias@agoraporto.pt.

Like in previous years, the Municipality of Porto provides discounts as regards application costs, as regards one week participation, to the households that will enrol two or more children. Children that are signalled by the department of Social Department and Social Cohesion of Porto City Hall are entitled to free applications.
