Laurent Binet talks about the power of language

September 16, Saturday, the most important part will be played by Laurent Binet, who will lead the debate on how can language transform the world under the cycle of debates of Porto Book fair.

This initiative is access free and the session is provided with simultaneous interpretation.

This session is organised by José Eduardo Agualusa and starts at 7 pm in the Municipal Library Almeida Garrett.

Laurent Binet was awarded the Gouncourt prize with his first novel "HHhH", on the murder of a Nazi Leader. His second novel, "The 7th Function of Language", reinvented the death of Roland Barthes, in a mix of real and imagined characters.
