Known as the "millenials' company" or "Air France's little sister", Joon already has booked flights: from 1 December, the newest low-cost airliner starts linking Porto and Paris.

In fact, Portugal is the only country with two routes from the new Air France-KLM company, Lisbon and Porto.

Barcelona, Berlin, Fortaleza (Brazil) and Mahé (in Seychelles) are the other destinations. Joon starts operations in Europe later this year but only in spring 2018 will the airliner inaugurate its first scheduled intercontinental flights.

The new low cost airline company was presented yesterday in Paris and tickets are already on sale.

European flight connections are on sale from 39 euros (one way ticket).

To make Joon "accessible to all"- this is the main purpose of the Air France Group officials. The new company conveys a brand new image associated with the concept of low price policy and a "relaxed and involved in new technologies" type of customer, according to the company's officials. The "millenials" (people aged between 18 and 35) are the target customers.

Porto Airport breaks new records in August with international flights

Joon is the most recent airliner to choose Porto Airport that keeps breaking records regarding passenger handling; in August and for the first time, the one million mark was reached in commercial flights, in one month.

PressTUR noticed that in August there were fewer domestic flights (a break of 2, 6%) offset by the growth of international flights, "which registered a passenger movement of 15, 2%, an increase of 122,3 thousand to 926,6 thousand".
