InResidencePorto Platform invites national and international artists to the city of Porto

Porto City Hall has released a film to promote its InResidencePorto platform, an interface for the international dissemination of spaces and art residency projects based in Porto, bringing together not only national but also international artists.

Directed by André Tentúgal, the film is available both in

Portuguese and in English.

The film, by André Tentúgal and music by Sensible Soccers, presents the city to the international artistic community and gathers statements by 30 established and emerging artists living in Porto, such as Christian Hass, João Ribas, Luísa Saraiva, Eduardo Souto Moura, José Capela, Gabriela Vaz-Pinheiro, João Estelita, Jo Kruk, Sako, Miguel Cunha, Lizá Ramalho, João Castro, Luís Buchinho, Joaquim Durães, Gustavo Costa, André Cepeda, Álvaro Siza, João Brandão, Tiago Guedes, Cristina Mateus, Daniel Pires, Gonçalo Amorim, Ana Fernandes, Hugo Passos, Dinis Sousa, Sérgio Pacheco, Becas Xavier, Vítor Hugo Pontes, Né Barros and André Carvalho.

Organised by the Municipality, the www.inresidenceporto.pt platform is aimed at bringing national and international artists closer to the city's creative opportunities in several artistic domains (visual arts, cinema, video, animation, dance , theatre, literature, art criticism, digital media, installation, music and sound).

"We are seeking to create the necessary conditions for national or international artists to anchor themselves in Porto and discover what the city has to offer in the context of residency programmes," said Rui Moreira, Mayor of Porto, during the Press Conference for the presentation of the platform, which took place at Maus Hábitos on July last.
