Free NOS Primavera Sound concert with Fatboy Slim in Aliados on 6 June

Fatboy Slim, the English DJ, musician, multi-instrumentalist, record producer and master of the beat genre, will perform at Avenida dos Aliados on June 6th. This event is free.

This is the warm-up of NOS Primavera Sound Concert, to take place in the City Park of Porto, from 7 to 9 June, and "it will shape the city's agenda so that people can experience what NOS Primavera Sound Festival is", enthuses José Barreiro from the organization.

Nos Primavera Sound is on its way to becoming one of the most popular festivals in Europe, and the novelties keep coming, as announced at the press conference this morning at Porto City Park, the surroundings of this major music festival.

One of the novelties is the setting up of a new stage with the international sponsor to the NOS Primavera Sound Barcelona.

The same official revealed the improvements regarding this year's edition of the festival, namely the larger number of toilets and snack stands, which will be ready to accommodate a bigger number of people.

Tickets searches are high and large audiences are expected at NOS Primavera Sound, both national and foreign.

There will also be a mini stage, the Primavera Radio, in the enclosure of the festival, which will deliver indie music in song format. This is a moment to experience a music genre off the mainstream tastes, from 2 am to 4 am.

Rita Torres Baptista, from official sponsor NOS, emphasises that the company has been linked to "this important music event" since day one, "as music is also at the core of NOS".

The VIP and guests area, titled "Casa de Campo" will provide gourmet delicacies by Chef Pedro Braga.

The partners involved in the organisation of the festival are committed to creating a different and ever better festival, thus the already positive initiatives implemented last year, such as the provision of power banks, the gifting of flower garlands or pic-nick bags, will also be available this year.

In turn, Nuno Lemos, Administrator of Porto Lazer, highlights the safeguard role by Porto City hall, by supporting a sustainable festival, and with the constant aim of perfecting the festival's infrastructure and reducing the impact with the surrounding area. This enables a more perfect coordination between festival-goers and the party itself.

It is also possible to go by bicycle to the festival. There is a bike park in the venue of NOS Primavera and the bike route will be marked from Ribeira to the City Park.

Councillor for Economy, Tourism and Trade for Porto City Hall, Ricardo Valente also attended the press conference and noted the fact that NOS Primavera is largely attended by festival-goers of different nationalities.

"This festival is built on very clear principles regarding the sustainable use of public space and respect for the environment", the Councillor stated.

Another novelty to NOS Primavera Sound 2018 is the setting up of a tent, named "Porto For Talent", which main goal is "showcasing what is best made in Porto, a hub city for entrepreneurship", Ricardo Valente concluded.
