Hollywood has, de facto, conquered the world. Audiences around the world are shown "made in the USA" movies.

Despite all this, Fantasporto - International Film Festival of Porto, features a comprehensive and diverse programming, offering the public films from 16 European countries and three continents at Rivoli.

For two weeks, cinema-goers are encouraged to discover films from the Philippines, Hungary, USA, Spain, France, UK, Germany, Sweden, South Korea, Argentina, Serbia, Macedonia, Egypt, Austria, Poland and Taiwan.

The film genres include drama ("Pamilya Ordinario," by Eduardo Roy), science fiction ("Realive" by Mateo Gil), thriller ("El Ganzo," by Steve Balderson), sheer horror ("Resurrection" by Gonzalo Calzada) or comedy horror ("Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies", by Dominik Hartl).

The Festival officially closes Saturday, March 4th, with the announcement of the winners and ends Sunday, March 5th, at the Municipal Theatre Rivoli, with the exhibition of all award-winning films.
