Fado Experience at Quinta da Bonjóia

The cultural event "Serões da Bonjóia" will feature a fado session under the Arts Cycle. The Fado Porto Club will perform at Quinta da Bonjóia, 12 October starting at 9.15 pm.

The entrance is free.

The aim of this event is to give a different character and approach of this Portuguese music style, less known to those who visit the country, namely the Fado de Coimbra or the Academic Fado.

There will also be a time to get to know some particular facts and curiosities about Fado and the Portuguese Guitar.

Did you know, for instance that there are three types of Portuguese Guitar, namely Porto, Lisbon and Coimbra? And that the Port Wine trade has enhanced the evolution of the Portuguese Guitar?

This initiative will be the opportunity to experience this unique music style: Fado.
