The exhibition showcases the faces of Portuguese citizens over 100 years of age. The display is featured at the Bolhão Metro Station and comprises 20 portrait photos.

The exhibit was prepared by Marcus Garcia, under the theme "Centennials" and its aim is to "symbolically honour these people, their life stories, the enormous transformations these people have witnessed during their life time", states the photographer.

This initiative was sponsored by Porto4Ageing, a centre of excellence for healthy ageing promoted by Porto City Hall and the University of Porto.

Porto4Ageing was established in April 2016, by Porto City Hall and by the University of Porto with the fundamental goal of debating issues regarding active and healthy ageing in Porto metropolitan area. This initiative has already been acknowledged by the EU Commission with the title of Reference Benchmark for Active and Healthy Ageing.

The exhibit is on show until 23 November.
