Cosplay exhibition celebrates pop culture at Rua de Cedofeita

Within the scope of Comic Con, from today until the 12th, the Cosplay Exhibition takes place. The public will be able to see the creations in six establishments, located on Rua de Cedofeita. The initiative arrives at Invicta (Porto city) with the support of Comic Con Portugal and the institutional partnership of the municipalities of Porto, Matosinhos and Vila Nova de Gaia.

Cosplay is considered a hobby, where participants dress up as fictional characters from Japanese pop culture, producing their own costumes, as well as all the equipment and accessories they may need to characterize a character.

The organization gathered some of the best cosplayers in Porto for a special exhibition. The establishment’s Luggage Storage - Lockers & Games Porto, Bruxelas, Zucca Barucca, Cosmopolitana, Labcenter LDA and Tee Legend, in Rua de Cedofeita are hosts of suits by cosplayers Leo Wokstation, Super D Rina and Arisato Cosplay. Guests can see creations based on the Atelier Totori, League of Legends, Majora's Mask, Monster Hunter video games, Yu-Gi-Oh anime, and The Greatest Showman movie.

On November 11, there will also be a "Meet & Greet" with cosplayers at Luggage Storage - Lockers & Games Porto, at 3 pm, with free admission.

The next edition of Comic Con Portugal will take place from March 21 to 24, 2024, at Exponor. Tickets are now available on the organization's official website.
