The main goal was to build a collective cascade celebrating the patron of the city - São João (St John). Inspired in the ancient traditions of St. John's feast, this cascade is the result of the contribution of all those of have participated in the pottery workshops that were held across town from 25 May to 14 June.

Residents from all the city parishes, traders, schools, families and even tourists have taken up the challenge. And the result is not found wanting! It is a symbol of the city's pride in its own traditions. A city that is recognised by its know-how and that shows the best of Portugal work.

This cascade belongs to everyone and is at display at the Tourist Information Centre in Aliados.
