At midnight, the traditional fire work display will get the party going in Porto.

The "music of the World" show will gather thousands of people to celebrate São João in Ribeira of Porto, the historic town centre, featuring music genres that range from Pop to Rock music, Salsa, Tango or even Cancan, House and Dance music.

As usual, the fire work display is implemented complying with stringent security measures.

Bridge Luiz I is, once again, the central element of the show. There are still five release platforms in the middle of the river Douro. This year's show includes several innovations, namely a pyrotechnic screen that will be placed in the whole bridge arc and an operating RGB system to entail the pyrotechnic effect.

The sound track comprises contributions from various performers, and opens onto Eurovision Song Contest winner "Amar pelos Dois" By Portuguese singer Salvador Sobral. The grand finale will be the hit song "Don't you worry child" by Swedish House Mafia.

The Press office of the Police forces of Porto (PSP) has declared that the firework display is protected by adequate security measures and no cane fireworks are allowed.
