Clara Andermatt debuts educational project for adolescents

Choreographer Clara Andermatt is the guest of the first edition of P.E.D.R.A. - Projeto Educativo em Dança de Repertório para Adolescentes [Contemporary Dance Repertoire Education Project for Adolescents], which premieres in January 2018.

This contemporary dance project is the result of a co-production by Teatro Municipal do Porto, Teatro Viriato (Viseu) and Culturgest (Lisbon) and it will reach three editions. Each of the editions will involve a reputed national choreographer with a repertoire that can be used by a group of teenagers.

This first edition of P.E.D.R.A. will be hosted by the city of Porto. The auditions took place last November and teenagers aged 15 and 18 were selected to work under the guidance of Clara Andermatt for the months of January to April.

The final presentation will happen on 4 and 5 May 2018, at the Teatro Municipal do Porto, in the context of the DDD Festival - Days of the Dance 2018.
