For two days, Casa da Música was a true rendez vous between artistic creation, performance, and inclusion. Celebrating and envisioning the evolution of the relationship between technology and music, the Porto Electronic Music Symposium had concerts, workshops, and round tables “enabling everyone who are thinking and creating the heritage of the future, today”.

Assuming the Municipality’s pride in being associated with an event that “encourages an ecosystem of innovation, recognizing this as the way to transformation”, the vice president of Porto City Hall considers that “this transformation involves a revolution in mentalities, in culture, productivity, efficiency and in the way we approach work and future”.

In the opening session of the symposium, organized by Digitópia, Filipe Araújo reinforced that the initiative was a “true meeting point and sharing platform, not only for the artistic community, but also for academic and cultural institutions”.

The vice president of the City Hall considers that this union “reflects our collective ability to embrace new ideas, promoting innovation and shaping the future of music, technology and their positive impact on society”.

For the person also responsible for Innovation and Digital Transition, “a particularly interesting aspect” of the Porto Electronic Music Symposium “is the focus on technology and its ability to explore new musical frontiers”.

Believing that Artificial Intelligence is “a catalyser that is opening unimaginable paths in the music scene, as well as in the transformation of our city”, Filipe Araújo recalls that we are witnessing “an unprecedent merge among the human creativity and technological abilities almost unlimited, creating new forms of musical expression that challenge our traditional notions”.

Inclusion and artistic creation are, also “fundamental pillars” of the initiative promoted by Casa da Música. The vice president is hopeful in “the possibility of creating universal instruments, accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities”.

Therefore, Filipe Araújo shared “we are proud that Porto is a stage for an event that stands out musical and technological innovation and embraces the value of inclusion, essential for the transformation into an inclusive society leaving no one left behind”.
