Boroughs of Porto host street animation program during the Summer

The “Vizinhanças” program proposes a trip through seven different places in Porto, during seven weekends. This Summer, the city meets in the squares and gardens of the boroughs, from July 16 to August 28.

Summer has arrived in the city and, with it, the desire to do various activities outdoors, to go for a walk, watch a show or simply, be outdoors enjoying the weather.

With this in mind and looking for the best places for “a meeting of everyone with everyone”, Porto City Hall designed an animation program, through the municipal company Ágora – Cultura e Desporto do Porto, which aims to bring people even closer in the public space.

For seven weekends, “Vizinhanças” will travel through the council’s seven boroughs and Union of Parishes with a set of activities that will fill Saturdays afternoons and Sunday mornings and afternoons.

The poster includes proposals for music, dance, new circus, street animation, workshops, sports, and children’s activities, making this an open program and designed for the whole family.

The project starts next weekend, July 16 and 17, in Jardim do Cálem, in the Union of Parishes of Lordelo do Ouro e Massarelos and takes place between 3 and 8 pm on Saturday and between 10 am and 8pm on Sunday.

Access to all activities, which will be announced shortly, is free.
