A documental show and a guided tour mark the International Day of Tolerance and UNESCO at the Municipal Library Almeida Garrett (BMAG), in the Gardens of the Palácio de Cristal, 16 November.

This is a free entrance event and the programme features a guided tour by anthropologist Ana Tomás to the photographic exhibit "Swat-Nama, Ethnographic Walking in the Swat Valley, north-west of Pakistan".

This exhibition will be on show till 9 December and is titled after a seventeenth-century manuscript (Swat-nama), by Khushal Khan Khattak (1613-1689), a prominent Pashtun writer and poet, at the time of his visit to that Pakistani region in 1674.

This is a travel narrative in verse that features geographical descriptions, cultural aspects, political and historical terms of the said region.

The documental show that will be inaugurated is themed "Diversity, Identity and Humanity". This documental show will be on display until 30 November and includes books, films, and records and is testimony that the community is enriched by its openness to other cultures.
