The Puppet Theatre "A Tarumba" features the performance "Este não é o nariz de Gógol..." (This is not Gógol's nose?), 21 October in Rivoli.

The show is based on Gógol's world (reminiscente of Godot) and Jacques Prévert. The play takes place in a kitsch ambiance, which relies on paper jointed figures and objects to translate the surreal and absurd world we live in.

This new creation dwells on issues such as the importance of having a nose, poke one's nose into something, and look down one's nose at something or turning one's nose up at anything!

A Tarumba - Puppet Theatre was established in 1993, and the main goals are developing quality work, both artistically and technically and also contributing to the continuous innovation of the Puppet Theatre in Portugal.

The Company is in charge of the annual FIMFA Lx Programming, and was awarded the Theatre Critics Prize 2010 by the Portuguese Association of Theatre Critics.
