"False Secrets" by Luc Bondy at Campo Alegre Theatre, at 10 pm

Starting today, July 20 and until July 26, the film "Les Fausses Confidences" by Luc Bondy is on show at Campo Alegre Theatre, at 10 pm.

"Les Fausses Confidences" is based on the three-act comedy in prose of the same name by the French playwright Pierre de Carlet de Chamberlain de Marivaux. It was first performed on the 16 March 1737 by the actors of the Comédie Italienne at the Hotel de Bourgogne, Paris.

This play revolves around the idea of deceiving someone in order to make them fall in love. A very popular topic with playwrights, including several of Marivaux's earlier plays. 

Inaugurated in 1997, Campo Alegre Municipal Theatre is one of the most important cultural hubs of Porto. Medeia Filmes is in charge of the cinema programme of Campo Alegre featuring independent films with theme movie cycles and films d'auteur.
