Wine has been enjoyed and celebrated alongside this other great pleasure, music. In the program for this concert, pieces by three great Austrian composers evoke this connection in different ways. The program starts with a festive piece, a famous waltz by Johann Strauss II, the and ends with The Song of the Earth, one of Mahler's most original and fascinating creations.
