The Mercado Ferreira Borges hosts the exhibition themed “Personarium" by the photographer Miguel Bernard, from 16 July to 31 August.

"Through each of these portraits, a story is weaved, across the lens of the camera, on each character portrayed. With just minor details on the identity of the character, the viewer’s imagination is sparked. The purpose of such a study is not specificity or accuracy. Once a balance between the artist’s initial idea and the public’s subjectivity, images evoke a certain sense of mystery, making way to one of the work’s most important parts: the interpretation by the viewer. A lot of inspiration is drawn by the painting of vintage portraits, verticality, and dim light illumination”.
